Leaders, employees, or individuals often benefit from using a sounding board, receiving feedback, or being asked tough questions to break free of habits, attitudes, or beliefs that stand in the way of success and growth. Coaching is a process by which the ECS consultant facilitates or engages in dialogue with an employee for the desired result of increased individual effectiveness. The coaching relationship evolves from establishing a purpose for the coaching and outlining the expectations and desired outcomes. The coaching starts with establishing a time frame and method for the most effective result. The process is focused on the professional development of the individual and can address areas of development in both the professional and personal arenas. Often a busy executive has little time for personal evaluation or reflection, and issues of work/life balance can be the important development need. The ECS coach is there to help facilitate the time it takes for the individual to understand themselves, their goals, their fears, and the impact that they have on the professional world around them. |
